Mental health and employment
The positive link between good mental health and employment is proven. Many people are unemployed due to illness and disability and many others become unwell after prolonged periods of unemployment. Some people are working in environments detrimental to their health and others may need support from their employer to manage their mental health.
In this section we provide information about resources and services to support you whether you are in work or unemployed, and whether your health is the cause or result of your problems.
There is advice on Finding a Job or Keeping a Job, as well as Legal information including The Disability Discrimination Act.
There is also an employers resource centre – an essential guide to mental health and work with advice for employers.
If you have some content that you’d like to submit, or other feedback, please go to the Get Involved section.
