The ten-year national service framework (NSF) for mental health, widely acknowledged as the catalyst for a transformation in mental health care, draws to an end in 2009. The Government is united with key stakeholders in seeking a new and equally powerful approach to help Strategic Health Authorities deliver their regional visions and build on the achievements of the NSF.
