For NHS organisations, it is also associated with improved patient satisfaction ratings, decreased MRSA rates and better annual health check ratings. To support NHS employers improve their staff’s health and wellbeing, Working for Wellness has contributed to a report, Health Promotion in the NHS Workplace: A Framework for Action in London, and produced a series of six posters which can be used in the workplace to promote physical activity as a means of improving mental wellbeing, complementing the report’s recommendations. Health, Work and Wellbeing Challenge FundThursday, March 11th, 2010There will be another opportunity to apply for the Health, Work and Wellbeing Challenge Fund in 2010, for projects to start in the following year. Bids will be welcomed from small and medium sized enterprises and local partnerships, with grants available of between £1,000 and £50,000. The Challenge Fund supports projects that focus on: alleviating stress and improving mental well being; providing healthy activities; ensuring work life balance; and supportive management.
